What is included in venture capital advisory from Waveup?

We provide consulting services across three core areas:

That being said, every project is unique. We normally engage with one client on 4-5+ projects over the years, and help across multiple different areas of growth and business development – from marketing materials, to website development and investor communications.

Do you work with pre-seed or early-stage startups?

Yes, we do. While our main focus is Series A+ companies with real traction, we also work with pre-seed and seed startups if we believe the business has solid potential.

Over the years, we’ve supported over 150 pre-seed rounds (up to $5M) and 100+ successful seed raises ($1M-$10M+) across different verticals. For early-stage teams, we don’t just help with the story and pitch deck; we also run a VC readiness assessment and help prepare for investor conversations, positioning, and next steps.

Can Waveup help me raise Series B or late-stage funding?

Absolutely. Our sweet spot is high-growth companies raising capital at Series A to Series D+ stage. We have worked on multiple large late-stage rounds up to $150M+ in the technology, deep-tech, healthcare and biotech space among others. What differentiates us is our unique experience of how to craft a compelling story, fast execution as well as in-depth knowledge of the expectations around growth, retention and GTM metrics expected at various stages.

Can you help with M&A prep or exit positioning?

Yes, we have extensive experience in the M&A space as two of our partners come from investment banking background, including JP Morgan and Lazard. Over the years, we supported multiple businesses on $10M-$100M+ transactions, both on sell and buy side. Our core expertise lies in drafting compelling CIMs, completing business valuations and helping in preparing for due diligence and management presentations.

Does Waveup introduce startups to investors?

We’re not brokers, so we generally don’t engage in investor outreach. We do work closely with 120+ VC funds globally, and if you have the right metrics that fit our investor profile, we’re happy to make warm intros. However, these are mostly relevant for revenue-generating companies in Series A+ rounds.

We are a non-profit. Can we get fundraising advisory services from Waveup?

Absolutely! While most of our work is with VC-backed businesses, in the past, we successfully developed materials for non-profits.
